Frequently Asked Questions

What are your rates?

My rates vary depending on what service you choose — each offering is highly customizable and I am committed to working on a sliding scale in hopes of allowing for greater accessibility.

As a base, I charge $500 for elopements and $800 for adventure elopements and classic weddings. For any destination that’s outside of an hour’s drive from my home in Boulder, Colorado, I charge an additional $75/hr (an elopement at Sapphire Point, for example, would cost $650). For scripts and obituary services, I charge a flat rate of $250. For death doula work, I offer packages and charge an hourly rate on a sliding scale.

In the case a client is unable to meet the minimum suggested rate, I am happy to find an exchange that works for both of us. Just reach out.

Where do you work?

I am based in Boulder, Colorado, and for weddings, am available to travel anywhere in the state, as well as to New Mexico. Since death doula services require in-person work, I only accept clients within a 30-minute drive from my home. Script services, obituary work, or even the Best Three Months practicum can all be done virtually using a platform like Zoom.

Will I have to sign a contract?

For all of my services, I do ask that clients sign a short, concise contract. It is straightforward and primarily outlines my responsibilities to you — I find that it helps everyone understand my role and ensures that we are functioning as a team.

How can we book you for our wedding?

Contact me to see if I have availability for your date. If I do, we’ll continue to talk and if you decide it’s a good fit I will send along my contract. Once you sign it and send a non-refundable 50% booking fee, you’ll be booked in my calendar. If you have to change your wedding start time or wedding date, I will do my best to accommodate changes but cannot guarantee availability.

Do you have any recommendations for photographers or videographers?

Yes! I work with a wide network of incredibly talented people and am happy to put you in touch. I can also offer guidance on ceremony locations and florists, although I am not a wedding planner or coordinator.

As a death doula, do you work with clients that are not terminally ill?

Of course! Death is an inevitability for all of us and my work as a death doula is all about helping people live their best lives. In many ways, a death doula can double as a life guide, supporting others when it comes to getting clear on what matters most in their life and letting go of what no longer serves them. Estate planning and even obituary services can benefit everyone, as does the Best Three Months coaching practicum.
